PolitickerMD.com’s Power List 2008
Topping the list is Joseph Bryce, the chief legislative officer for Governor Martin O’Malley (D). He also served the same post underneath Governor Parris Glendening. Of Bryce, PolitickerMD said that he is “the go-to guy in Annapolis” and that he “has done very well with spending and retaining the
governor’s political capital.”

Two notable items I have to point out:
1. Governor Martin O’Malley is not on the list, but his brother, Peter O’Malley landed in the Top 10 (at no. 8). Peter O’Malley is the chief of staff of Baltimore County Executive James Smith (D). Also, Governor Bob Ehrlich (R) is in the Top 5. That has to hurt the governor considering that he cannot stand his predecessor.
2. State Democratic Party spokesman David Paulson, who also contributes scribblings to PolitickerMD.com, only made it to no. 45 on the list. I guess that Paulson’s acts of intellectual dishonesty wasn’t as good as he thought they would be, nevermind the fact that it seems that they didn’t sway the populace any…except for a couple of people at the certain liberal blog.
