Mr. DuVal Cubero
Office Sought and District
US Congress 5th District
College Grad: areas of study Political science, Police science, criminal investigation, criminology, psychology, sociology, business administration, Military history. I have taken many extra classes not needed for my degree for my own personal knowledge/benefit.
Retired/Soldier/Contract Security/Commercial Hazmat Driver
None, first time running. But there is no degree program that would train anyone to be a congressman or senator. The position in tales voting yes or no on proposed laws. If the law is constitutional, expands/protects freedoms & liberties and makes sense and isn’t redundant to existing laws, yes. If it isn’t all of those things then No. I wont vote yes on any Bill/Law that robs Americans of there freedoms/liberties/rights. Because it would dishonor all of the soldiers, marines, airmen & sailors who have died in the past 240 years. How because it would be the same as saying that their sacrifice was in vain.

Why are you running for office?
constituents say they want “Term Limits”, end property taxes on elderly retirees, stop illegal & limit legal immigration, fight Fraud Waste & Abuse, to work for the people of the 5th district of Md. To get lobbyists and their money out of politics. The US Capitol is not supposed to be a millionaires/billionaires club. Its supposed to be a body of representatives who work for the individual voters who put them there, not a small group of companies or an industry that has money to get their way. Also to vote NO on any pay raise for the congress and the senate. If the job doesn’t pay enough then quite!
How do you plan to win?
By adhering to my word and honoring my campaign promises & the willingness to work hard and lead by example.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
Senator Rand Paul appears to want freedom/liberty and all rights for all Americans. George Washington also because he was offered the title of king and refused it stating that would defeat the purpose of the war of independence.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
Liberty & Tyranny By Mr. Mark Levin, In my humble opinion he makes a clear & compelling argument on how un-elected local, state and federal government employees/bureaucrats think and act as if they are supposed to rule over us and refuse to understand that they work for the people of the US, who are forced to pay taxes to pay their paychecks
What will be your top priority in Congress?
Term limits/Property taxes on elderly retirees/stop illegal and limit legal immigration.
What is the biggest issue facing your district?
Wages are too low due to a large pool of unskilled labor dominated by an alien population that has unlawfully entered the US or illegally over stayed their Visa. Which also affects the rental and housing market.
What are the three biggest issues facing our country?
Dysfunctional Government Gridlock/Over taxation/Overspending/Big tech and banking monopolies/Codified law that is robbing us of our constitutional and due process rights, civil rights and civil liberties and also Ilegal immigration.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)
I don’t believe in either one due to religious reasons, but I don’t think we should let the Govt have this much control over the every day lives of Americans. It could lead us down the road to absolute tyranny. I worry it is a mistake to force my/our beliefs on another person(s).
What is your position on taxes, spending and the federal deficit?
US citizens and Resident Aliens must live on a budget or face bankruptcy. Why does the US government think that the rules don’t apply to them.
What is your position on gun rights?
It is a Constitutional rights that is guaranteed to all citizens and it is clearly stated that congress shall pass no law that infringes upon that rights. How do you protect you life in the middle of the night if someone tries to harm/kill you if you don’t have your right to bear arms.
What is your position on the legalization of marijuana?
I don’t think it is a good idea, but if it is legalized then the state and federal govt must expunge everyone’s record at no cost. So that all US citizens can get any job that they are qualified/experienced/trained to do. I don’t want anyone to be a second class citizen force to only be able to get low level jobs that no one wants.
What is your position on trade?
It must be an equal playing field, open markets/equal access, equal/matching tariffs unless both parties agree to 0% tariffs. Trade embargos with any country that is envolved in or sponsoring terrorism and the same for oppressive dictatorships.
What is your position on foreign policy and military issues?
If military action is needed follow the constitution and get a Declaration of War. If it is a counter punch/military action than make it hard hitting, swift and absolutely devastating.
What is your position on the impeachment of President Trump?
I don’t have access to sealed documents like the congress and the senate, but if there really is/was evidence that a high crime or misdemeanor was committed and or treason then of course, anyone or any president should be impeached. But as I said I like most people/citizens I don’t know what true or false. So at this time I have no position because I have no access to files or evidence.
Would you support the passage of the Human Life Amendment?
Would you support the passage of the Balanced Budget Amendment?
