Why are you running for office?
To provide a transformational agenda and empowerment for the youth through transformation leadership.

Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
President Theodore Roosevelt’s because his approach to leadership and foreign policy.Roosevelt described his style of foreign policy as “the exercise of intelligent forethought and of decisive action”

What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
Policy Paradox: The Art of Political Decision Making
by Deborah Stone. It provides an ellaborate scope and knowledge.

What is your favorite book about education, and why?
“The Death and Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education,” by Diane Ravitch.This because the book provides a comprehensive, incisive, and fervent critique of the current education system.

What will be your top priority on the Board of Education?
Fundraising , equitable planning and fostering of strategic partnerships

What is the biggest issue facing your county schools?
The need for para educators and increase in the portables/constrain in learning space

What is your position on the Kirwan Commission recommendations?
Since its formation in 2016 with the mandate to initiating recommendations on how to prepare students for college or the workforce so they can “meet the challenges of a changing global economy” and “be successful citizens in the 21st century.”Nov 14, 2019 it still yet to realise this obligation fullly.Need to do more.

What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland schools?
Security, constrained spacing for learners,and limited resources both human resources/funding

Have you read your county schools curriculum? If so, which parts do you like and which parts do you dislike?
I like the collaborative and all inclusive part interms of involvement of both parents and other stakeholders.I however dislike its implemenattaion processs as it is quite harphazard.

What is your position on school spending?
The school spending needs to be priortised to realise amore equitable distribution of resources.

What is your position on teacher tenure?
The teacher tenure laws violated student’s constitutional rights to access to equal education as the current teacher tenure system keeps non performing teachers in the classroom because they can’t be fired for unsatisfactory performance.

What is your position on standardized testing?
The Scores don’t provide a true picture of a student’s ability hence needs to be more intergrated

What is your position on classroom size?
There are quite conjested with quite constrained teachers to student ratio.

Do you believe the Board of Education should having taxation authority?
NO.it would create a conflict of interest.
