Anne Arundel League of Women Voters Reprimands Anne Arundel Democrats

The Chairman of the Anne Arundel County Democratic Party has been reprimanded by the President of the Anne Arundel County League of Women Voters for lying about a recent candidate forum.

In a letter to Anne Arundel Democratic Chairman Patrick Armstong, Anne Arundel LWV President Niecy Chambers noted that the League “strongly objects to the false and misleading representation of our Legislative District 30 candidate forum in your October 11,
2018 solicitation email.”

The solicitation implied that Senate candidate Ron George skipped an October 10th Senate candidate forum, a forum in which he was in attendance.

The letter also notes that “Contrary to the banner across the second image, which was “modified for emphasis” according
to the small print disclaimer, State Senate Republican candidate Ron George attended and participated in our forum on October 10, 2018.”
