Why are you running for office?
To promote and support candidates that espouse Republican values/ beliefs
Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
Ronald Reagan. Many reasons , but I agree with him when he said,”it’s amazing what can be accomplished when you don’t care who takes credit for it”.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
Newt Gingrich’s UNDERSTANDING TRUMP. I think it points out for Americans to focus not on Trump’s STYLE, but on his SUBSTANITIVE accomplishments
What do you see as the role of the Central Committee?
To support Republican Core beliefs through outreach, fundraising and working together to create party unity…not polarizing discord from within
What is the biggest issue facing your county Republican Party?
I think there are individuals that have divisive approaches. Focus is far too often on individual promotion and advancement of SELF. There are not acknowledgement of gains and accomplishments….we need to get additional, effective Republicans Elected and refer to Reagan’s earlier quote that I referenced.
What are the three biggest issues facing the Maryland Republican Party?
A need for more Republicans to be Elected, needing to register more Republican voters, and to be willing to get out the vote at election time!!!
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)
I am absolutely ‘pro-life’ and I do not support assisted suicide.
What is your position on taxes and spending?
Lower taxes and control and responsible spending….and reigning in on assessments.
What is your position on gun rights?
I am a Constitutional supporter of our Second Amendment, and as a teacher , I endorse having trained , armed , individuals in our schools.
Do you believe that Maryland Republican Party primaries should be open to independent voters?
Do you believe that the state party and the county parties should be allowed to endorse in primary elections?
