Why are you running for office?
I want to bring change to Frederick County by electing conservatives, improving the state of the Central Committee, and changing the culture of our youth to grow a future conservative leaders.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
I would consider my political role model to be Ben Shapiro. When I started watching his videos and talks years ago, he inspired me to really enter the political scene and to get into debating. He’s honest, isn’t afraid of offending others, and would never sacrifice his principles. Ben is one of the greatest debaters of our time, and never caves to the demands of leftist bullies.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
My favorite book about politics has to be “Reasons to Vote for Democrats” by Michael J. Knowles. The best part of the book is that there’s absolutely nothing in it, and every page is blank.
What do you see as the role of the Central Committee?
The role of the Central Committee is to get Republicans elected. They should be raising money for candidates, helping them campaign, and working to grow the party as a whole. They should put aside differences and work together with all factions of the party to complete their goals.
What is the biggest issue facing your county Republican Party?
The county party needs to stop petty bickering, get candidates elected, and direct their attention to stopping the Democrats
What are the three biggest issues facing the Maryland Republican Party?
1) The Strive for Five
2) Defending and restoring Constitutional Rights within our state that have been chipped away over time, such as the right to bear arms
3) Stopping the left from forcing through any legislation they wish
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)
Murder is already illegal, so I don’t realize why murdering children should be allowed. Assisted suicide itself would have a very negative effect on everything from insurance to health research, so having it legal would not be a good decision.
What is your position on taxes and spending?
The government’s job is not to steal your money and spend it on wasteful programs. The answer to taxation and government spending should always be “tax as little as possible, spend as little as possible.” You have a right to your own earnings, and you know how to spend it better than the government ever will.
What is your position on gun rights?
The second amendment is non-negotiable. For too long, politicians have worked to systematically destroy the right of the people to defend themselves against threats, foreign and domestic. If a citizen is good and law abiding, they should not be restricted as to what firearm they can own.
Do you believe that Maryland Republican Party primaries should be open to independent voters?
Do you believe that the state party and the county parties should be allowed to endorse in primary elections?
Do you believe that Maryland Republican Party auxiliary organizations should have a vote on the Maryland Republican Party executive committee?
Would you support limiting the terms of Maryland Republican Party officers to eight consecutive years in the same office?
