Why are you running for office?
I would like to help to revitalize the Western part of Frederick City and surrounding County area! Lower taxes, securing Personal Property rights and keeping our County safe is important to me.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
Ronald Reagan, keeping taxes low and allowing the Free market to work with people being able to control their money instead of the those in Government .
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
No answer
What will be your top priority in elected to this position?
Ensuring our County is run as lean as possible by being a check and balance to the County Executive!
What is the biggest issue facing your county?
Transportation. Infrastructure must be improved so that people and commerce can move efficiently thru the County!
What is your position on taxes and spending?
The County needs to be run as lean as possible! Safety and education must be funded at an appropriate level and our Teachers and support Staff need to know they are valuable asset to our County! A top to bottom audit of the County Departments needs to be done often to ensure we are spending our tax payer Dollars wisely.
What is your position on a county tax cap?
I believe in the lowest tax possible with the County government and School System using the latest available technology to operate as efficiently as possible. My first priority would be to cut waste. Raising any tax would be a last resort.
What is your position on land use issues?
Personal property rights need to be protected! This is paramount! Livable Frederick and the recent Monacacy River plan threaten these rights! Another more consistent method of funding Affordable housing is needed! Ever Increasing fees on builders only increases that spread between new housing and what people can afford!
What is your position on public safety?
Safety is paramount, crime, gangs and the opioid crisis are causing problems in the Frederick County as well as the nation. Supporting our Sheriff and City police is essential as well as Fire and Emergency personnel!
