Why are you running for office?
In order to continue serving the people of Wicomico County on our Republican Central Committee. We’ve accomplished great things and I’m exited to be a part of even greater things within our County over the next four years.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
Governor Hogan- He is a leader who governs in accordance with his values and always has the best interest of Marylanders at heart. While standing firm for what he believes in he also recognizes the value in finding common ground and promoting bipartisan solutions to everyday issues that the people of Maryland face.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
As a political science major I’ve read a few, but have yet to pick a favorite
What do you see as the role of the Central Committee?
Promoting the interests of Republicans in Wicomico County while working to support the Governor and expand our party.
What is the biggest issue facing your county Republican Party?
Our State Senate race.
What are the three biggest issues facing the Maryland Republican Party?
We must strive to obtain a veto proof State Senate. We must work on a unified front to support Governor Hogan, one of the most popular Governors in America. We must stand up for our values while protecting Marylanders from burdensome taxes and regulations that many on the other side of the aisle in Annapolis try to ram through the legislature every day of Session.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)
I recognize and support the right to life
What is your position on taxes and spending?
Government should spend within its means and should work toward goals focused on reducing taxes and regulatory overreach. Our citizens deserve an efficient, ethical, and responsive government.
What is your position on gun rights?
I am a firm supporter of the Second Amendment
Do you believe that Maryland Republican Party primaries should be open to independent voters?
Do you believe that the state party and the county parties should be allowed to endorse in primary elections?
Do you believe that Maryland Republican Party auxiliary organizations should have a vote on the Maryland Republican Party executive committee?
