Why are you running for office?
We are failing to attract Republican candidates in Howard County for all offices. We will never become a majority Party without good, electable candidates.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
Teddy Roosevelt. He never gave up his principles to get elected, he fought tirelessly for what he thought was best for the country & he never gave up.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
The Prince by Niccolo Machievelli, Since 1513 technology has changed, but people’s motivations, ethics & politics haven’t. It is still relevant today.
What do you see as the role of the Central Committee?
Getting Republicans elected to public office. This includes all of our candidates, not just the ones we like.
What is the biggest issue facing your county Republican Party?
We have a bunker mentality. We hide in the Western part of the county and have ceded the remaining 80% to the Democrats. this is unacceptable.
What are the three biggest issues facing the Maryland Republican Party?
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)
I am pro life, with the exception of capital punishment.
What is your position on taxes and spending?
Spending is out of control & needs to be dramatically cut. With reduced spending we can then give tax relief to our residents.
What is your position on gun rights?
I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, & I would like to see MD become a Shall Issue State for conceal carry permits.
Do you believe that Maryland Republican Party primaries should be open to independent voters?
Do you believe that the state party and the county parties should be allowed to endorse in primary elections?

Would you support limiting the terms of Maryland Republican Party officers to eight consecutive years in the same office?
