The Law by Frederic Bastiat
What will be your top priority in elected to this position?
Push for accountability and efficiencies in county government to facilitate tax relief to the citizens
What is the biggest issue facing your county?
Emotion has become the substitute for truth and fact. We face a cultural and moral crises
What is your position on taxes and spending?
I firmly hold to the idea of limited government. I think we need to hold to the design and purpose of government. Citizens have a right to the reward of their labor and they have a right to keep more of what they earn.
What is your position on a county tax cap?
I think we are beyond a reasonable tax cap at this point. I think a real effort needs to be made to reduce the size and scope of government. Once that is achieved I would support a cap.
What is your position on land use issues?
I am a vocal opponent of property taxes. I feel property tax is contrary to Constitutional principle. John Locke expressed that a person could not truly be free unless he was protected in his property, which is one of the duties of Government. I support the basic idea of zoning to a limited extent so the rights of others are protected equally in the enjoyment of their property as well. State or federal mandated land use I will not support.
What is your position on public safety?
I support Constitutional Carry. Maryland is in violation of our constitutional right and basic human right of self preservation.
