Why are you running for office?
To bring a youth perspective to the school board

Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
Bernie Sanders, because he started a movement and never took a company’s donation, unlike some Republicans.

What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
Angry Optimistic, because Jon Stewart is one of my personal idols.

What is your favorite book about education, and why?
On the courthouse law, because it unearths the ugly history of racism.

What will be your top priority on the Board of Education?
To make every child, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, creed, nationality, race, or ethnicity, feel safe and protected.

What is the biggest issue facing your county schools?

What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland schools?
Funding, bad teachers, and underpaid faculty.

We need to focus on paying teachers the most.
