Why are you running for office?
I want to make a difference in the lives of the people of Maryland and hopefully introduce some new thinking into the legislative process.

Who do you consider your political role model, and why?

What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?

What will be your top priority in the General Assembly?
Fundamental change in the way execute the session to open up the Assembly to others and changing how we execute our budgets through the 2019 R.E.F.U.N.D ACT.

What is the biggest issue facing your district?
School Safety; Taxes; Business Climate

What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland?
Taxes/Budgeting; Gerrymandering; Immigration

What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)
I do not plan to make any of these issues central to my campaign.

What is your position on taxes and spending?
Taxes and Spending are too high in Maryland. Take a look at my outlined at on my website for the details.

What is your position on gun rights?
People have a right to defend themselves. An example of when we shouldn’t talk about guns is when we need school safety. The answer isn’t more or fewer guns, it is safer schools.

What is your position on education?
It is very important to everyone in Maryland, especially to parents with young kids. We need to reduce the political involvement within the school system.

What is your position on the legalization of marijuana?

What is your position on the current three-tiered system for the sale and distribution of alcohol?
I’m 100% for more free market and less regulation. This is silly.

Legislators can receive $101 per day for lodging and $47 per day for meals during the 90-day General Assembly session. If elected, do you plan to accept these benefits? Why or why not?
I plan to commute because I love my family and want to see them OFTEN. I don’t need someone to buy my lunch because for 90 days, Senators get a pay rate of $204k per year while the per capita for Carroll is 38k and Howard is 50k. This is CRAZY.

There is a culture of depravity and sexual harassment prevalent in the Maryland General Assembly. As a legislator, how will you work to end this culture of depravity and to ensure that those who commit these acts are removed from the General Assembly?
Good question! (Rant Start) As a Military commander overseas, I had young women come to me and tell me they were raped. I moved them (on their request) to another base within two weeks to start the healing process and sent the offender to a court martial. It is amazing that when I have visited the Senate that old men still make comments about young women in public! We don’t need more rules on the books, we need decent people in Annapolis. I’m offended by the recent women’s caucus because if men are 90 or 95% of the problem, you probably need some men to step up and start acting like men and not idiots. (End Rant)
