Why are you running for office?
I want to find middle ground on conservative issues in order to get better policy for Marylanders. Education can be so much better, and I have fresh ideas. Retirement taxes NEED to be lower for so many reasons. This CAN be done!

Who do you consider your political role model, and why?
I am a history buff, so many great men and women have come before me, that I learn and take pieces from many.

What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?
God and Man at Yale, it was and is pertinent.

What will be your top priority in the General Assembly?
Repeal retirement taxes, fix education, help business grow, clean the bay.

What is the biggest issue facing your district?
Education is a mess. A more educated electorate is a better society.

What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland?
Economics, Crime, Education.

What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)
Personally I am for the rights of unborn children. Assisted suicide is a long discussion.

What is your position on taxes and spending?
Repeal retirement taxes now!!! They are causing hard working people to leave the State and take their money with them. It separates families. That is no good for anyone. Senior citizens do not have children in public schools, cost very little in tax payer funds, yet they contribute so much to Maryland and we are chasing them away

What is your position on gun rights?
Americans have the right to keep and bear arms. No government has the right to make people defenseless to criminals or tyranny.

What is your position on education?
I could write on this for days. More trades, eliminate common core, give incentives to good teachers. Also make the budget published and hold administration accountable. I have specific ideas.

What is your position on the legalization of marijuana?
It is decriminalized. Also available to those who need it for medical purposes. I think there are worse drug issues like opioids that need our attention.

What is your position on the current three-tiered system for the sale and distribution of alcohol?
The middle -man is an industry that has been given too much power through lobbying and campaign contributions.

Legislators can receive $101 per day for lodging and $47 per day for meals during the 90-day General Assembly session. If elected, do you plan to accept these benefits? Why or why not?
I would accept it as sometimes I would be spending nights in Annapolis and the salary for being a delegate is minimal. Less than a teacher. I would also have to do side work such as crabbing during the summer to make enough money to support my family. ( I do not take lobby money or bribes).

There is a culture of depravity and sexual harassment prevalent in the Maryland General Assembly. As a legislator, how will you work to end this culture of depravity and to ensure that those who commit these acts are removed from the General Assembly?
I would not tolerate any such behavior. I have a moral character and Christian values.
