A Reminder About Schools and Labor Day

Many Democrats were losing their minds on social media after Governor Larry Hogan issued an executive order that requires public schools in Maryland to wait until Labor Day to start school starting with the 2017-18 school year.

This is a good time to remind you the many Democrats who have supported this very concept in recent years:

  • Senate President Mike Miller
  • Senator John Astle
  • Senator Edward Kasemeyer
  • Senator Katherine Klausmeier
  • Senator James Mathias
  • Senator James Rosapepe
  • Delegate Curt Anderson
  • Delegate Kumar Barve
  • Delegate Eric Bromwell
  • Delegate Darryl Barnes
  • Delegate Pamela Beidle
  • Delegate Mark Chang
  • Delegate Diana Fennell
  • Delegate Barbara Frush
  • Delegate Tawanna Gaines
  • Delegate Cheryl Glenn
  • Delegate Keith Haynes
  • Delegate Anne Healey
  • Delegate Sheila Hixson
  • Delegate Carolyn J.B. Howard
  • Delegate Aruna Miller
  • Delegate Sheree Sample-Hughes
  • Delegate Theodore Sophocleus
  • Delegate Jay Walker
  • Delegate  Alonzo Washington

All sponsored either SB 767, SB 389, SB 455, HB 1349, HB 389, or HB 1069.

Just something to remember while the Maryland Democratic Party and their union overlords continue to throw conniption fits about this and other important education issues.
