Thank God We Aren’t Massachusetts

One is never quite a queasy as when a politician says he won’t do something but if Senate President Mike Miller is to be believed then the issue of gay marriage is dead in Maryland for the foreseeable future.

Thanks to an unexpectedly restrained ruling by Maryland’s Court of Appeals any action on this subject will have to come from the legislature. It is difficult to see how the proponents of this direct assault on Western Civilization put together a coalition to pass such a bill.

Of course, there will always be next year.
