AACPS Spokesman Teaching Democrats to Write Op-Eds

Anne Arundel County Public Schools Spokesman Bob Mosier is teaching a class targeted at Democrats about writing-op eds.

The event, first reported at the radical left-wing site Arundel Patriot, is sponsored by the Anne Arundel County Democratic Women:

Concerned about what you’re hearing on the political front? Make your views known in print and on-line media, and get trained on how to do it effectively. Bob Mosier, former Editor of the Maryland Gazette and current Chief Communications Officer for Anne Arundel County Public Schools, will conduct a two-hour workshop on how to write op-eds and other opinion pieces on Tuesday, October 17 at 6:30, at the Annapolis Regional Library at 1410 West Street. This is an excellent opportunity to hone your advocacy writing skills!

The workshop, sponsored by the Anne Arundel County Democratic Women, is designed for adults and students in high school or college. It is open to any Democrat or independent voter who falls into those categories.

Registration is required. The $10 registration fee covers materials and light refreshments. Get your tickets at https://aacodw.ticketleap.com/opedworkshop/

It is unknown if Mosier’s participation in this workshop is in an official capacity as spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Board of Education.

I have reached out directly to Dr. George Arlotto, Superintendent of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, for comment about Mr. Mosier’s participation in this event.

UPDATE: Former Board of Education Member and Democratic Candidate for County Council Allison Pickard confirms that not only is this training designed for Democrats, but is specifically intended to be a women-only training.

The following screen cap notes her exchange with fellow Capital columnist Torrey Snow.

The entire exchange is here.

Pickford was a member of the Anne Arundel County School Board Appointment Commission and was instrumental in doing the bidding of Pam Beidle to ensure that a white liberal Democratic darling was appointed over a qualified minority candidate.

UPDATE: Anne Arundel School Superintendent George Arlotto has responded:

Mr. Griffiths:

Thank you for your email.

Like you, I support private citizens engaging in the political process. He is not representing the public school system. I am certain that if asked by the Republican Women’s Club, Mr. Mosier would graciously give of his personal time, though I cannot make that commitment on his behalf and use of his personal time.
