What is your top legislative achievement for the 2017 General Assembly Session?

Being on JPR and killing the Maryland Trust Act (Sanctuary State). It was withdrawn in the last days of the session.

What are some of your other legislative achievements for the 2017 General Assembly Session?

Making sure that the Mandatory Section 8 Bill stayed in the drawer, amongst other bad bills that died in our committee.

What is your top legislative disappointment for the 2017 General Assembly Session?

Passage of so many bills cloaking the Md. Attorney General with so many additional powers.

We asked before Session about your top legislative priorities for 2017. How do you feel about your efforts to achieve those priorities?

I had a good year in the Senate. I got a bunch of my own bills passed and I got a big bond bill passed for Cecil County.

Please explain your vote on House Bill 631.

I voted against price gouging for prescription drugs. It is outrageous what some of these companies charge for medications. There are no drug manufacturers in my District needing protection but there are a hell of a lot of folks who take medications. Those are the people I care about.

Will you be running for re-election in 2018? Why or why not?
