Democrats Can’t Even Schedule a Unity Party Correctly

If you’re a state party, it’s always a good idea to have a unity party after a bitterly contested primary. Particularly if you’re running a state party that lacks a unifying statewide leader and desperately needs something to look forward to at a time when the opposition party Governor has approval ratings in the 70’s.

You would also think that a state party would make sure to secure an appropriate venue for such a unity party and to make sure that there were no scheduling conflicts with the venue in holding such a unity party as a statewide fundraiser. However, the Maryland Democratic Party fails to uphold even that basic task.

Good afternoon,

Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket to Tuesday’s Unity Reception at the Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the event has been rescheduled for Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Strathmore Music Center located at 5301 Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda.

Please contact us at rsvp@mddems.org if you have any questions about the rescheduled event. If you would like to purchase tickets for the rescheduled date, you may do so here.

Maryland Democratic Party

That’s right. The Maryland Democratic Party is so incompetent at being an organized political party these days, they don’t even realize that they had a scheduling conflict with a fundraising venue until about 24 hours prior to a major state party fundraiser.

We have known for some time that the Maryland Democratic Party is in complete disarray. But I think even we have been underestimating how much of a dumpster fire it really is right now.
