A Thought on Police Militarization

We’ve written before about police militarization and the use of SWAT teams here in Maryland.

As a representation of how much the Law Enforcement Support Office 1033 program has expanded here in the U.S., my friend Chris von Csefalvay turned that data into graphical representation of what percent of law enforcement spending came from the 1033 program in Maryland an all of the states.

Worth two minutes of your time, and it goes to show you how much police militarization has expanded just over the course of the last ten years.
