Get Involved in PG County Government: 2 Opportunities!
Currently there are two great opportunities to get involved in shaping PG County Government. First, the County Executive is accepting applications for one of his School Board At-Large appointees. They are looking for a PG County citizen who can “demonstrate a high level of knowledge and/or experience in the area of management,” and possesses “a high level of knowledge and expertise concerning the successful administration of a large business, nonprofit organization, or government entity.” If that sounds like you, download the application and email it to email@example.com. If snail-mail is more your style, send it to:
The Office of the County Executive
County Administration Building
14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive
Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20772-3050
Applications need to be in by Monday, July 27, 2015.
The other opportunity comes from the County Council. Part of this year’s budget bill set up a Blue Ribbon Commission to be made up of citizens, preferably with expertise in matters of budget, finance or public policy, to look over the budget and come up with ways to solve the deficit.
