Democratic Hypocrisy on Transportation Spending, In One Chart

Maryland Democrats are using the need for infrastructure spending as an excuse to not to support Governor Larry Hogan’s proposed roll-back of the 87% gas tax increase that Democrats paid for last year.

So I thought this would be a particularly good time to remind you about all of the Democrats who supported the transfer of $868.3 million in Highway User Funds from the Transportation Trust Fund.

So while Speaker Busch and President Miller wish to note about all of the infrastructure problems we have in our state, the appropriate way to respond is by asking them why they allowed nearly $1 billion in transportation spending to be diverted away from infrastructure construction and maintenance in the first place.
