FORWARD?
Apparently, no one on the payroll bothered to “Google” the word “forward”. Had they done so, they would have quickly learned that “Forward” was a Hitler youth marching song.
Perhaps Obama was appealing to the younger voters who spent much of their time in history class texting and tweeting and missed all that stuff about the beginning of that old World War II thing and like German’s invasion of Poland and all, and Britain and France declaring war on Germany two days later, blah blah blah, and have no idea of the Nazi reference. They’ll just think “Forward!” is the way the Dude will lead them. “Nice,” as they say.

Or maybe the re-election team was simply focusing on “President Obama’s years of public service” that “are based around his unwavering belief in the ability to unite people around a politics of purpose” as stated on www.whitehouse.gov.
“Unwavering belief” and” uniting the people” sound like words from the chorus of a Nazi marching tune. But I digress.
Here’s more from www.whitehouse.gov: “His story is the American story — values from the heartland, a middle-class upbringing in a strong family, hard work and education as the means of getting ahead, and the conviction that a life so blessed should be lived in service to others.”

It gets better: After working “his way through college with the help of scholarships and student loans [paid in full, no doubt, with no doubling interest rate increase worries for him!], President Obama moved to Chicago, where he worked with a group of churches to help rebuild communities devastated by the closure of local steel plants.”
He also helped “lead a voter registration drive, teach constitutional law at the University of Chicago, and remain active in his community” before becoming a member of the Illinois State Senate where “he passed the first major ethics reform in 25 years, cut taxes for working families, and expanded health care for children and their parents” and “reached across the aisle to pass groundbreaking lobbying reform, lock up the world’s most dangerous weapons, and bring transparency to government by putting federal spending online.”
The rest is history, but the future is looking grim for all of those not living their lives in “service to others”, the public servants feeding from the trough filled by the taxpayers; the same ones who don’t have to put stamps on their mail and are entitled to numerous other privileges and courtesies.
Despite Obama’s unfulfilled promises of hope and change, if he’s re-elected and we are subjected to another four years of him at the helm of our sinking nation, we’ll soon be marching backward in double-time. That will be an order. You better get used to following orders.
He’s already moving “forward”in that direction, having recently issued an Executive Order for National Defense Resources Preparedness (www.whitehouse.com/the-press-office/2012/03/16/executive). You know, the thing with all that Marshall Law stuff in it, like:
“‘Civil transportation’ includes movement of persons and property by all modes of transportation in interstate, intrastate, or foreign commerce within the United States, its territories and possessions, and the District of Columbia, and related public storage and warehousing, ports, services, equipment and facilities, such as transportation carrier shop and repair facilities. ‘Civil transportation’ also shall include direction, control, and coordination of civil transportation capacity regardless of ownership. ‘Civil transportation’ shall not include transportation owned or controlled by the Department of Defense, use of petroleum and gas pipelines, and coal slurry pipelines used only to supply energy production facilities directly,” yadda yadda yadda.
It all makes me want to scream.
Mr. Munch added his inspirational poem for the masterpiece to that one, in which he described himself “shivering with anxiety” and felt “the great scream in nature.”
I know the feeling.
