The Dream Act in Maryland….fast forward ten years

The Dream Act, which grants in-state tuition to illegal immigrants, was passed in the Maryland legislature this spring session. Like a newly blossoming flower, it is portrayed by its proponents as a fresh new hope for young students just beginning their journey in life.

Supporters maintain that it is wrong to make the children of illegal immigrants suffer for the sins of the parents who brought them illegally to our country, and therefore the reward of tax funded tuition is justified.

But like all things young and new, they age. Never mind that we are really talking about “children” aged 18 and up, who are now adult illegal aliens themselves, following in the footsteps of their law-breaking parents.
