Is What’s Good For America Also Good For Alaska?

Like a lot of others, I am smitten with Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin’s addition to the Presidential ticket. Like many of us, I have gone from a reluctant “hold your nose and vote for McCain” to an enthusiastic supporter. Conservatives were worried about the trial balloons hinting that a pro-choicer like Ridge might be tapped for the VP slot. Sarah Baracuda seems like an almost perfect choice. Tough, strong, and not afraid to shake up her own party.

That very thing could be a problem… not for us in the lower 49, but for those in her beloved Alaska. While I am thrilled about the possibility of her bringing her skills to us in Washington, what will happen to our northernmost state?
