Expresses Support for Legislation That Would

Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 90% by 2050

ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 19, 2008) – Governor Martin O’Malley today met with leaders from the environmental community on global climate change and expressed his support for Senate Bill 309, legislation introduced by Senator Paul Pinksy that would that require the State to develop and implement programs that would lead to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the State by 25% below 2006 levels by 2020, and reduce emissions by 90% below 2006 levels by 2050.
